Marsh Fest – Ukraine Club, Huddersfield - Saturday 22nd July
This family friendly fun day and music event is held within the stunning grounds of the Ukraine Club, Huddersfield and brings together a plethora of local music and performing art talents to perform, with all proceeds donated to the Welcome Centre, Huddersfield who provide a range of supportive services including a food bank, bedding, clothing and advice to individuals and families in the area suffering with poverty and in financial crisis. Every single penny counts and is put to great use, to assist people in getting back on their feet.

The 'fairandfunky Fairtrade Family Food Zone' at Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival - Holmfirth Market Hall - Saturday 24th to Sunday 25th September
Holmfirth Food and Drink Festival (subject to license) runs from 23rd – 25th September 2017 and as part of the festival team fairandfunky are managing the ‘fairandfunky Fairtrade family food zone’ in Holmfirth Market on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th.
The ‘fairandfunky Fairtrade family food zone’ is an exciting, interesting and unique marketplace of local and Fairtrade/ethical stallholders – will you be there? Holmfirth Market will be filled with stallholders from the Yorkshire Region (the closer to Holmfirth, the better!) selling Fairtrade, recycled, organic or locally produced goods – food AND gifts.

Cotton On To Fairtrade Coffee Morning – Honley High School – Tuesday 3rd October, 9am to 11am
The Fairtrade Cotton on to Fairtrade Coffee Morning at Honley High School will welcome Fairtrade cotton producer Viswaraj Maghoo to share his story and describe his life-changing experiences from working in a sweatshop to being employed by a Fairtrade-licensed Factory.

fairandfunky Sustainable Schools Conference for Primary Schools – Al-Hikmah Centre (IMWS), Batley – Friday 6th October 2017
The fairandfunky Sustainable Schools Conference brings together Primary Schools to celebrate World Environment Day. The conference will ignite enthusiasm and interest in both pupils and teachers for local and global sustainability.
The conference will link themes of citizenship, food, biodiversity and waste from the Eco-Schools programme, Food For Life and Fairtrade Schools Award, providing evidence for each of these award schemes. All students will create individual recycled artworks to take home, along with a pack of wildflower seeds and other eco-goodies. The event will close with a Q&A and certificate presentations from Tracy Brabin MP. Leading workshop providers – fairandfunky, Grow To School, Pockets Theatre and LoveBread – will facilitate interactive sessions involving drama, recycling, local food and muddy fingers – providing plenty of food for thought!
